Question : Server Recommendation (File Server & Terminal Server)

Ok. I'm looking into purchasing a new server for are company. We have about 12-15 people who work here. We already have a Domain Controller, and now I'd like to add a file server (Member server running server 2008 64bit) My goal is to also create it as a virtual box so I can run a Terminal server and a few smaller applications too. The most intense process will be the terminal server because people will be using it to modify huge Excel files. (which are taking forever to do on there laptops.) With that being said here's what I'm looking at purchasing. Do you agree? disagree? Any recommendations?

HP ProLiant DL160 G6 - Xeon E5504 2 GHz
(1 processor now. Will upgrade when needed)

HP Dual Port Enterprise - hard drive - 300 GB - SAS 10000 rpm
x4 (Running a 0+1 RAID) Will there be a difference if i used 72000?

HP memory - 10 GB - DIMM 240-pin - DDR3
x4

Is this over kill?

Answer : Server Recommendation (File Server & Terminal Server)

Ok I got you now. Never really used Hyper-V but 10Gb seems like it'd be good enough, either way memory is cheap and can easily be upgraded.

Once you get the right cpu selected you'll be good to go. music2myear1 seems to know more about cpus than i do.

I would suggest a quad core cpu, just my two cents on that one.
