Question : Laptop running windows vista, SYSTEM process goes to 100% cpu after being accessed by any computer on the network.
Hi experts,
my laptop is getting extremly slow AND unavaible on the network after being accessed from any computers on network shares.
basically, the laptop run fine until anyone try to access it, where it will spike at 100% cpu (system), and become unavailable on the network.
some fact:
- it can still be pinged, and still has access to internet.
- it's connected through wireless
- I uninstalled firewall / antivirus
- it's running windows vista Home premium 32bits (acer Aspire 5930)
- it's a fresh install (which include Acer software suit)
- once it started the 100% cpu spike, other computer will see an Error 64 when trying to access it ("The specified network name is no longer available")
- cannot be accessed either from it's name or ip
- it cannot access itself either.
thanks in advance!
