Question : URGENT - My EXTERNAL File looks OK but ...
Hi Experts
I have a CSV file which I have been able to define as an EXTERNAL table to Oracle by putting it on the Oracle Server.
Unfortunately, when I do SELECT COUNT(*) from the file I get a count of zero which can't be correct.
I would appreciate ny suggestions.
Especially fast answers because I have to get this working in the next day or two ;-)
Thanks very much.
Barry

Check the log and bad files. These should tell you where the problem is.
You should have specified the values for them when you created the external table.
