Question : Is it ok to plug a simple power strip into a UPS

Is it ok to plug a simple power strip into a UPS?  My APC UPS currently has all the outlets in the "Battery Backup" section utilized.  I want to plug a simple power strip into the "Battery Backup" section and add in the Router and Comcast modem so that when the power goes out here, I might not need to restart all this stuff.  It would also be convenient when I need to unplug the pc's when a storm comes.  I'd only need to unplug the UPS.  But Im not sure if this is safe or not.  Thank you Mark88

Hi there is no reason not to do this appart from you must not overload the ups and the other problem is, will omeone walk into the room and plug the hoover into the socket and ruin your UPS? If the answer is not, I have done it many times in a controlled environment, we often get low current devices with molded transformers on them and this is the only way to do it.
