Question : How to get rid of dirty shut down state when recovering edb file

Exchange 2003 on Server 2003

Everytime I have to recover a database using the NT backup, the database is corrupted.  I have to do an eseutil /mh  and then a "/p" and then a "/d" to repair the corrupted file.  All of the weekly back ups have a Dirty Shutdown state.  How can I fix this so my back ups are not corrupt anymore?

Thank you :)

Answer : How to get rid of dirty shut down state when recovering edb file

Well as i said earlier once the Restore has been run the Database will always be in Dirty Shut Down.

This is because the Backup is being taken when store is mounted and users are still sending and receiving Emails.

So there is a Restore.env File created along with the Log Files that needs to be played to get the Database to Cleam Shut Down after the Restore.

By default this is located in the Root of the C drive -> Folder Named Temp.

So inorder to get the Database to Clean Shut Down you need to run the eseutil /cc command.
