Question : Internet Explorer 8 won't load certain pages.

A user was having trouble getting certain pages to load with IE7, so the first thing I did was upgrade to IE8 but that didn't fix anything.  Since then I defaulted IE and even removed it via Add/Remove Programs/Windows Components and then added it back, the last thing I tried was Firefox which seems to work fine.  The problem is, Firefox wont load a McAfee website we use to install our Sonicwall Enforced Client AV, not to mention the user prefers IE.  An example of some of the pages that won't load are Windows Update, which won't load at all, and Verizon Wireless which only loads partially.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Answer : Internet Explorer 8 won't load certain pages.

run the Norton removal tool,

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2007080716174339?Open&docid=2005033108162039&nsf=tsgeninfo.nsf&view=docid

Even thought you may not have or ever had Norton Security suite installed on the system, This tool will reset you IP stack and winsock, This tool usually fixes most browser issues when a browser hijack has occured.
