Question : I frequently get BSOD with error message DRIVER_IRQL-NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL on windows vista/7

I have an HP pavilion Elite I purchased last year with widows vista installed on it (though last week I upgraded to windows 7 using HP's free upgrade).  I've been experiencing the BSOD quite regularly for the past year but haven't had time to really deal with it until now.  The general behavior seems to be that after I start up my computer I can use it for about 15 to 30 min before it crashes and I get some variation of the following message.

DRIVER_IRQL-NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen....

check to make sure your hardware or software is properly installed....

if problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software.  Disable BIOS memory options such as cashing or shadowing.  If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your comptuer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode

It doesn't really matter what I'm working on tough it tends to crash the quickest with software that accesses video or audio media (itunes, adobe premiere etc.).  Once in a while the keyboard will also become sluggish.  I also have two monitors and sometimes one of the monitors will shut down and I'll have to restart it through the display settings.

once the message appears I can reboot the computer and use it for hours with no problem.  However, once it goes to sleep or I turn it off and reboot it the process starts all over again.

I was hoping it had something to do with vista and would be taken care of when I upgraded to Windows 7 but that's not the case (though I did not do a clean install only an upgrade).  I have also now removed all extra periferals so there is nothing connected to it other than a wireless keyboard.  I'm still getting the same behavior.  I'm about ready to quit and buy an Apple.

any help would be appreciated.

Hi!

AFAIK, You can't.

Because the Textbox does not have the facility to provide the functionality i.e., show a list and select one from it.

On the other hand you can show combobox "nearly" equal to textbox by varying its properties like: (from property Window)

DropDownStyle = Simple
then decrease its size,
FlatStyle = System

etc.
