Question : 2nd DNS Entry for Exchange Client Access Server

Hi,

we have 2 Microsoft Exchange 2007 Client Access Server installed. These Servers are used from some devices (printer, fax, scanner) as SMTP Server.
We created a DNS Alias (SMTP.domain.xx) and want to use that on all the sendign devices as the destination. The problem is when CAS01 is not available we have to change the CNAME entry in the DNS to CAS02.
Do you have any better solution for us that when CAS01 is not available DNS name smtp.domain.xx is automatically sending packets to the CAS02?

thanks for your reply

Answer : 2nd DNS Entry for Exchange Client Access Server

In an ideal user registration and termination process, management should report an employee departure to the system administrators, not the database administrators. DBAs are not supposed to maintain any acl.

In addition, the system administrator should periodically check the last time an user has logged in and disable the account after a certain period of inactivity, if this is not done automatically.
