Question : outlook not running rules

Suddenly outlook quit running the rules i have set up, mostly just to sort to different folders. Outlook checks several different smtp boxes and is attached  to an exchange server.  I have  a macro that I can run that goes through and runs the rules which still works. Is there a way to get outlook to start running rules automatically when mail comes in again?

When you get to here "Do you wish to change this configuration? y/n [n]:" select "y" as you did, then select the default "n" for the other questions until you get to the line "disable system configuration? y/n [n]:" this should be set to "y".
