Question : Sync Center and Moving Redirected Folder in SBS2008

Hi Guys,

I am trying to move Redirected Folders on the server in SBS2008 to another drive.
I am following the steps as per the MS help document,

When I get to "robocopy c:\users\redirectedfolders e:\users\redirectedfolders /MIR"
It gives me an access denied error for files in the user's desktop folders within RedirectedFolder parent folder.

When I try to copy the files through Windows, I am also unable to copy or move the contents of "RedirectorFolders", due to insufficient rights.

I am logged in as server-administrator and the parent folder has sufficient rights for administrator.

I am not sure how to move or delete the files.  I already removed the sharing for this folder "FolderRedirection".

Answer : Sync Center and Moving Redirected Folder in SBS2008

By default, only the user has access to their redirected folders meaning Administrator does NOT have access.  To get access, you must take ownership of the folders and propagate these changes down through the folders and files.  You must also add the security as well.  Here are the steps to do this and to avoid this situation in the future:
