Question : Which is the most reliable laptop and processor and OS?

Which is the most reliable laptop and processor and OS?

I have had my HP Compaq nx7300 (Intel Celeron M) for some years now, and I feel quite satisfied with it, the best being the keyboard which is very comfortable. But I am not satisfied with how it works with internet, and especially Wi-Fi.

I use my laptop and my ASUS EeePC 1000He a lot going on the internet here in Asia, mostly in China. It seems that it's easier to get internet to work with my little netbook (Intel Atom processor) than my big laptop, for some strange reason. It should be the other way around, shouldn't it?

My laptop has Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit and Intel Celeron M, my little netbook has Windows XP Home and Intel Atom.

For the next couple of years, I need the most reliable laptop on the market. But it shouldn't have to do with the brand and model of laptop, should it? Isn't the essential thing what regards reliability what operative system I use, together with the processor my laptop has?
I need a reliable laptop (OS and processor) so that I can work with translations, and attend online video conferences without any hassle (like I have now).

If I have a faster processor than now (Intel Pentium instead of Intel Celeron), would that make my laptop more reliable? Would it be sufficient for me to change processor in my HP Compaq nx7300? And perhaps change OS to Windows 7?

What if I would use a Macintosh for my video conferences, would that be more reliable than a Windows-machine?

Answer : Which is the most reliable laptop and processor and OS?

1) You can't change Celeron M chip and put other cpu unit you have to get a new motherbaord it is like full new process so you need to buy new computer. if you are interested good computer with good price you can get re certified dells.

2) You can get some laptops ubuntu installed.

dell has a page for ubuntu computers.

3) You can buy Macintosh 1000$ no problem but decent one's start from 1200$ Macintosh is good for basic usage like Email, browsing, word, excel but if you have many customers with windows machine don't get a mac. Problems between sending documents from mac's and windows common. they don't work perfect with each other. it generally works but there is always one problem every month.
I work setup so many cross-platform environments and we have to do many specific settings so mac and windows works with each other without a problem.

I think if you buy windows 7 with quality anti-virus you will not have any problems with windows. What happens with pcs are people buy it and they won't buy anti-virus so they always have problems.

Actually I don't know why Google change it because most famous hacker said it is easier to hack mac then windows 7.

"Mac OS X is like living in a farmhouse in the country with no locks, and Windows is living in a house with bars on the windows in the bad part of town."
Charlie Miller, Apple Security expert

SO actually mac's are not safe but there not much people interested to hack them. if Google changes to mac, I'm sure some hackers will be interested to hack mac's. :)
