Question : Dell Vostro 1500 Laptop can't join wireless only in Hawaii

Windows XP computer. Dell Vostro 1500 with XP works fine on the continental US but can't get on the wireless network in Hawaii.

It might be some kind of driver issue. I saw something about this a while ago when the guy was in Dubai and I replaced the driver for the wireless and it seemed to work. Now the guy is in Hawaii and he says they can't get him on the internet.

Talked to Dell and they said that with Windows XP they have a problem with their Proprietary WLAN Management Software. I disabled it by opening it from the system tray and then unchecked the box that says "Let this tool manage your wireless networks" and then also unchecked the box that says "Show utility icon." Left the "Enable Radio" box checked.
