Question : There is a problem communicating with the CRM server. The server might be unavailable. Try again later

This questions pertains to CRM 4.0 outlook add in client.

I'm receiving error message "There is a problem communicating with the CRM server. The server might be unavailable. Try again later"  while trying to connect via outlook add in feature.

Here is a brief run down on everything.

- We have over 10 users current using outlook client that don't have any issues connecting

- We've narrowed this down to a (local) system issue since this is a new laptop being configured for a client (since no on else has this problem)

- I've researched this problem and we have tried the following:
   - completely removed the add in and also outlook 2003, re installed no luck
   - user account is not in restricted mode on crm server
   - Made sure we had SP3 installed for XP, All current roll up updates for crm (up to 10)
   - we made sure we could connect via IE to the MS crm web site from the system (successful)
   - we added the crm http site to trusted local under security and also tried the IP address of the server
   - we checked  under user accounts in control panel to verify no user account and password was there saved under managed accounts
   - we can ping the crm server from the laptop and get response using IP and server name no problem
   - we turned the firewall off completely on the system

am I missing something? Again, all other users have access and we can actually ping the crm server from the laptop no problem, so it is resolving in DNS fine.

Answer : There is a problem communicating with the CRM server. The server might be unavailable. Try again later

I ended up reformatting the system completely. Installation went fine.

Again. Brand new system (actually purchased 2 and another 2 since then) and installation went fine on all but this one. It's up and running now.

Thanks.
