Question : Source: NETLOGON Event ID: 5773 error with in DNS
I am still new to working with Servers and I have just been assigned to troubleshoot this error. Our clients have mentioned that it takes up to 15 minutes to log on to there local machines. When I checked the event log on there W2K3, which is acting as a PDC, DHCP and DNS. I found the following error in the System Event Viewer;
Source: NETLOGON
Category: None
Event ID: 5773
Description:
The following DNS server that is authoritative for the DNS domain controller locator records of this domain controller does not support dynamic DNS updates:
DNS server IP address: 64.94.136.11
Returned Response Code (RCODE): 4
Returned Status Code: 9004
USER ACTION
Configure the DNS server to allow dynamic DNS updates or manually add the DNS records from the file '%SystemRoot%\System32\Con
fig\Netlog
on.dns' to the DNS database.
I also ran DCDIAG;
