Question : iSCSI target status dead - ESXi 4

iSCSI target on Netapp FAS270 works with MS iSCSI initiator, but not in vSphere. What can I check?

The host and the NAS are on the same subnet. This is a test server so I'm not concerned about isolating iSCSI traffic.

Answer : iSCSI target status dead - ESXi 4

From the ESXi host..if you have ssh access see if you can ping using vmkping from the vmkernel port to the storage array.

By the way, I configure the iSCSI LUN unix style, I've had issues choosing vmware, give it a shot.
