Question : Registration/Evaluation ESxi 3.5 & Client Infrastructure
Having setup ESXi 3.5.0, I am using Infrastructure Client to setup and control the Virtual Machines.
ESXi has been successfully registered.
In Infrastructure Client there is a notice saying "Evaluation (xx days remaining)"
I was under the impression that this was free software. When I try and register the product it asks for a license key. I don't have a license key for Infrastructure Client. Should I have one? Entering my ESXi key brings back a message saying that the product is already registered.
Does anyone know:
A: Whether this refers to ESXi or Infrastructure Client?
B: What will happen when the evaluation ends?
C: How can I register Infrastructure Client?
Thanks.

Hi "fred2k3"...you don't register the license on VMware's site, but rather you just enter it within ESXi. Log into your ESXi host, go to the Configuration tab -> Licensed Features and enter the license key there.
Hope that helps.
