Question : Migrate from Blackberry Enterprise 4.1.6 to BlackBerry Server Express version 5.0 SP1

We currently have BES 4.1.6 on its own server and are looking to move to BlackBerry Server Express version 5.0 SP1 (again on dedicated hardware) as part of our Exchange 2010 upgrade.

While I know I cannot do a direct migration, I was hoping to keep the original BES server running while I move users one at a time by first wiping their handset and then deleting their user account from the original BES. I then will move the mailboxes from the current Exchange 2003 server onto the new Exchange 2010 server before adding them onto the BES Express server using OTA activation.

It looks like this is possible but I cannot find a definitive answer as to whether I can run both versions on different servers at the same time. Does anyone know for sure that what I am thinking of doing will definitely work and is there an associated site with step by step instructions that cover any hidden gotchas?

I'm almost certain what your trying to do is possible - from previous reading I have done.
