Question : Error Adding Users to Sharepoint
Hi, I have a fresh new sharepoint site setup that is not connect to AD. Whenever I add a user either through Central Admin or through Site Admin I recieve an "The user does not exist" error. this is driving me crazy as I am creating the user so of course the user doesnt exist yet! any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!
Answer : Error Adding Users to Sharepoint
I have found that when adding users in SharePoint you need to spell their name exactly or it will not resolve. Also you should be able to click on the smei-completed name and it should resolve the user for you.
