Question : Net Use returns "System error 64 has occurred. The specified network name is no longer available."
When I'm at work I use a .bat file for startup a script to connect a network drive on my home computer, and I just recently started getting this error when I try to run the script on login.
this is the .bat file :
net use T: \\marietto2008.no-ip.org\e
/user:marietto /persistent:no
System error 64 has occurred. The specified network name is no longer available.
I use windows 7 in both sides.
also it doesn't works if I use the real ip address of my home computer. Marietto is the administrator of this computer. When I ping the hostname it returns the real ip address. At my home computer I shared the drive e and I set the permissions to everybody. I opened the router port 139 and 445. I closed the windows and the kaspersky firewall. At my work computer I closed the windows firewall. Maybe the router of my work computer blocks the outgoing connections ? how can I fix it ? Thanks.
