Question : How to determine eclipse version?
When I go to Help->About->Installation Details it lists the version # as:
1.2.2.20100217-1310.
However the file .eclipseproduct has the contents:
name=Eclipse Platform
id=org.eclipse.platform
version=3.5.0
Why the discrepency?

Expand the '+' when you go to Help->About->Installation Details. You will see the different versions of the different packages.
The Eclipse platform is version is 3.5 and the jee package version is 1.2.
