Question : FTP Connections Very Slow...

I have a client who, during the past two months, has a very difficult time connecting to external FTP sites.  They are using a 3com X5 firewall, two bonded T1 lines.  Everything else works great:  HTTP, HTTPs, etc.  Any ideas?

One thing to look for is whether PASV mode is turned on. Typically if your firewall is blocking active FTP, you'll be able to log in, but when you attempt to get a directory listing, it will just hang.
