Question : Active Directory - Constant user account lock outs

Hi,

Currently have an issue with a couple of people where AD accounts are locking out. Not really sure where this lockout is coming from. Possibly user error.

Is there any easy way to audit where these lockouts are coming from? Machine, user, service etc?

I know that maybe possible to troll through logs of domain controller to find this info but any ideas on how to do this easier would be appreciated.

Thanks Heaps

Answer : Active Directory - Constant user account lock outs

The best way that I have found is to download the account lockout tools from microsoft.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7af2e69c-91f3-4e63-8629-b999adde0b9e&displaylang=en

This will tell you the originating lockout time and locking domain controller. From there you would actually need to look at the security logs on the domain controller to determine where and what the reason was for the lockout.
