Question : We developed a driver. It's unsigned and win7/64bit screams to high heaven

We developed a device driver. It's packaged into an *.MSI package with *.inf and *.sys files.

we need to sign it so that it's workable under win64 as it is under win32 (we have two versions of the driver).

Can someone point me in the right direction as to signing the driver? Is this like an SSL certificate we buy from a certificate authority like Verisign etc? is there a step by step checklist to follow anywhere to sign a driver?
