Question : SSIS Data extract from oracle to sql server

hello,

i am developing a ssis package to  extract from a oracle database into sql server. i am just using a oledb source for  oracle and data convertion to convert from string to a unicode string and a oledb destination ,i am getting the following errors.

[OLE DB Destination [107]] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR.  An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E21.
An OLE DB record is available.  Source: "Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0"  Hresult: 0x80040E21  Description: "Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.".

[OLE DB Destination [107]] Error: There was an error with input column "Copy of PROMOTYPE" (153) on input "OLE DB Destination Input" (120). The column status returned was: "The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data.".

[OLE DB Destination [107]] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_INDUCEDTRANSFORMFAILUREONERROR.  The "input "OLE DB Destination Input" (120)" failed because error code 0xC0209077 occurred, and the error row disposition on "input "OLE DB Destination Input" (120)" specifies failure on error. An error occurred on the specified object of the specified component.  There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.

[SSIS.Pipeline] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PROCESSINPUTFAILED.  The ProcessInput method on component "OLE DB Destination" (107) failed with error code 0xC0209029 while processing input "OLE DB Destination Input" (120). The identified component returned an error from the ProcessInput method. The error is specific to the component, but the error is fatal and will cause the Data Flow task to stop running.  There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.

[OLE DB Source [1]] Error: The attempt to add a row to the Data Flow task buffer failed with error code 0xC0047020.

[SSIS.Pipeline] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTFAILED.  The PrimeOutput method on component "OLE DB Source" (1) returned error code 0xC02020C4.  The component returned a failure code when the pipeline engine called PrimeOutput(). The meaning of the failure code is defined by the component, but the error is fatal and the pipeline stopped executing.  There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.

Answer : SSIS Data extract from oracle to sql server

right click on Data Conversion Transformation,
and select advanced editor
in input and output properties,
under output column,
select your column,
and set datatype to DTWSTR as shown in this image.
