Question : Desctription and title in Google results different
Hi,
My website Title and META description tags were changed sometime ago. Now I know Google can take some time to pick this up, even with a sitemap re-submit.
But Google state that the page was picked up by them on 30/06 so why has the title not changed? I have attached a screenshot of what I see when I search Google.
This is with the assumption that the first part of the results listing is taken from the page <title> and the second part in full or part of the META tag Description...Which actually at the moment is blank on the actual webpage.
Anyway, how can I get things changed? Keep submitting new sitemaps? Is there some element that could be stopping Google cache the right pages? Even though the cache is off the new design could the old details still be floating around? They are certainly not on the hosting account. Is there a way of checking any of this? :)
