Question : can you install visual studio and sql server through VMware on Apple Macbook Pro

I' am a total novice when it  comes to vm ware.

I 'am planning to buy a Macbook Pro in a few days. I' am also a .NET developer who loves macs.

I just want to know if i'll be able to install a copy of SQL server 2008 and VS 2010 (I have installation disks for both) on my Macbook Pro in the VM Ware environment and how to do it?

VMWare Fusion is the product you are after.
It virtualizes the Windows OS completely, so yes you can do those things as you can most things on an OS on bare metal (physical machine).
