Question : Adobe Acrobat 7 printer on Windows 7 64bit doesn't install

My windows 7 32 bit computer crashed, and when I reinstalled I used Windows 7 64bit. When I try to install Adobe Acrobat 7 (which worked on win7-32) the PDF printer doesn't install. Error message is attached, but it says:
Warning 20225. Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Setup was unable to create a new item: Adobe PDF Port & Printer. The Adobe PDF printer may be unavailable.
GetLastError: The operation completed successfully.

I have put program access control to the lowest level, but that didn't help this program.

Any suggestions on what might be wrong and how to install this? I would rather not pay $100 for an upgrade to version 9.

Thank you.

Answer : Adobe Acrobat 7 printer on Windows 7 64bit doesn't install

Acrobat 7 is not entirely compatible with 64-bit platforms.  You'll need to either go back to Win7 32-Bit, or upgrade to Acrobat 8.1 or later (current version is 9.3.x).  refer to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/331/331732.html for further information and known limitations.
