Question : Comparing records of more than two excel documents

Dear Friends,

I am looking for the utility / tool that can accept the file paths as input and do a comparison of the records.

I want the utility / tool to highlight the missing record against the standard document. I want to use one excel document as the base document and then scan other excel documents. If the record is missing in other excel document, it should wither be highlighted in some color.

Moreover if thee is a mismatch in the record values, then the tool should identify those records as well and document it.

The number of records to be processed per excel document is close to 6000.

Please let me know if anyone of you have used any such utility / tool before.

Answer : Comparing records of more than two excel documents

I've used WinGrep to compare files in different directories - it provides a list of differences (surprise!).

It works fine on text files, not sure about other types...
