Question : Windows 7 Enterprise Clients do not activate via KMS

Hope you can help.

I have set up a KMS server but I have noticed my clients are not activating.

I have checked the event log on the client machines and it says "The client has processed an activation response from the key management service machine" and "The client has sent an activation request to the key management service machine". This means that the clients are seeing the KMS Server and sending requests.

On the KMS server, when I run the cscript slmgr.vbs /dlv command and the results are the following:
Key Management Service is enabled on this machine
    Current count: 2
    Listening on Port: 1688
    DNS publishing enabled
    KMS priority: Normal

Key Management Service cumulative requests received from clients
    Total requests received: 676
    Failed requests received: 0
Requests with License Status Unlicensed: 0
Requests with License Status Licensed: 0
Requests with License Status Initial grace period: 592
Requests with License Status License expired or Hardware out of tolerance: 0

Requests with License Status Non-genuine grace period: 0
Requests with License Status Notification: 84

Can anyone please the results above and I have two days left to activate, please help!!!!

Answer : Windows 7 Enterprise Clients do not activate via KMS

Hey just wanted to thank you for all your help.

In the end I called up Microsoft Support as this issue was critical and needed to be resolved quickly as I would have had 75 angry laptop users.

Ok so the problem was: As the 75 laptops had been imaged exactly the same, it meant the CMID of each laptop was exactly the same. When the clients sent requests to the KMS server the count would not increase.

In order to resolve it: you have to run the slgmr -rearm command on every single laptop and then slmgr -ato to activate it. Once more than 25 were activated, all started activating so everything was fine.
