Question : PIX traffic from wrong source IP
I have a PIX -> ISA dual firewall configuration. There is also a router and switch in between but these just pass the VLANs.
One of my team members has been working with Cisco to update our VPN client certificate. We experienced a power outage in the middle of the process and now traffic isn't flowing between the PIX and ISA. I reviewed the configuration from our last backup and everything looks good so far.
When I try to ping ISA (192.168.11.2) from the PIX (internal 192.168.11.1 on VLAN 40, 192.168.250.1 VLAN 1, 65.5.5.106 external) the traffic shows an originating IP of 65.5.5.106. I would expect this to be 192.168.11.1 like our router does for communication on a connected subnet. Is this expected behavior?
Answer : PIX traffic from wrong source IP
just restart the PIX or issue
comand
sysopt noproxyarp outside
sysopt noproxyarp inside
