Question : Switch audio from one application to separate audio device?

I have a Win7 (64bit) install with two sound devices - the built in sound card and a pair of USB speakers. I want to leave the speakers as the default device and selectively switch applications audio output to the head phones.

In the mixer I can select either device, but can't see a way to reassign one audio stream or application to the other device... am I missing something here?
