Question : USB HID Credit Card Swiper over RDP?

Is it possible to use a USB Credit Card swiper in HID mode over an RDP terminal services connection in Windows 2003 or 2008 server?

I've got the device running fine on my local workstation, but when I connect to an RDP connection it never appears in the "Human Interface Device" list under device manager.

I think 2008 R2 with SP1 (that is now in Beta) would be able to do it as RemoteFX is there.
As Dariusg pointed out there are third party solutions to address that but unfortunately that may mean $$$.
