Question : Importing a text file into Access
I am trying to import a text file into an access database. The text file has a date field and an IDNumber field.
In the Specs of the text files, the date field is defined in the Data Type as “Date/Time”. The IDNumber field is defined in the Data Type as “Long”.
After importing into my access database, “type conversion” error tables are created. Not all the dates and ID numbers are imported.
What can I do to fix this?
Answer : Importing a text file into Access
Save the as a .CSV file check that the file is formatted the way you like then import into Access.
