Question : SBS 2008 Best Practice analyser warning - User account does not show in the Windows SBS Console
Recently migrated from SBS2003 to SBS 2008 and am now working through all the Best Practice Analyser (BPA) errors.
Accounts which were disabled when the migration was run throw up BPA warnings as follows:
User account does not show in the Windows SBS Console
The user account x does not have the attributes that are necessary for it to display in the Windows SBS Console.
What are the attributes required? I gather it's fine to just ignore the BPA messages for this error but I'm curious if it's easily remedied.
Answer : SBS 2008 Best Practice analyser warning - User account does not show in the Windows SBS Console
Bit of a pain. The work around is below.
Go into ADUC and go to the user you want to appear in the SBS Console. Properties then Abtribute Editor tab then find the value msSBSCreationState then change it to Created.
hope this helps.
