Question : DB backup

hello there,

i have an inhouse erp software which is using sql server 2005 db.
i use the maintenance plan wizard to organise my DB backup.at present i have one plan which takes backup every night at 9pm. it is set for fullbackup. now i want to take the backup every 1 hour from 9am till 3 pm. i also want to keep that first plan of mine.is it ok or will it create issues for me doing this way.

Answer : DB backup

You should have no problems creating the second job to back up through the day. Many backup regimes use a full nightly backup and a regular incremental backup. Some plans backing up multiple databases run one job backing up all the databases sequentally, others run multiple jobs simualtaneously, one for each database. All work.
