Question : Very strange behaviour using Access on different computers..
Asking somebody out there who might have seen this before..
We have a copy of a Access DB Front End sitting on a server
There are 3 computers that have a shortcut that uses this DB front -end
On 1 of the forms I have a button that uses this piece of code..
Forms!frm_Main!qry_Provide
rsChildren
1.Form!lbl
_Provider.
Caption = lcName
Forms!frm_Main!qry_Provide
rsChildren
1.Requery
Can somebody explain to me how this works on 1 computer and not the other 2 computers..all 3 computers using Access 2003 and Windows XP Pro..
I see this Forms!frm_Main!qry_Provide
rsChildren
1.Form!lbl
_Provider.
Caption = lcName on all 3 computers but the requery only works on 1 computer and not the other 2 ..even they are all accessing the same copy form the server..
The computer are accessing the DB itself at different times never the same time..
Thanks in a dvance for any insight or help..
Answer : Very strange behaviour using Access on different computers..
it may be a silly comment but..
1 - are you sure the 3 shortcuts are pointing to the same file?
2 - are you using the same user for log into the 3 computers?
I am just trying to go for the non obvious
