Question : HP 1505N cannot change static IP

Al,

I setup a new netgear router and wanted to change a static IP from 192.168.0.9 to 192.168.1.9 on a HP laserjet 1505n. I connected my laptop directly to the NIC and could not pull up a config in a brower with the current 0.9 address. I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software but, it  cannot locate any printer. I went to printer properties as well and it will not change the current IP. I am using windows 7 ultimate.

Any thoughts.

Answer : HP 1505N cannot change static IP

Try resetting the printer's network parameters, as follows:

1. Turn off the printer
2. Hold the "GO" and "Cancel" buttons at the same time.
3. Press and release the power button while still holding the "Go" and "Cancel" buttons.
4. Release the "Go" and "Cancel" buttons after about 6 seconds after you press the power button.

That will reset the network card to factory defaults, and you should be able to change the settings again.
