Question : How do I stop SharePoint?

My Windows 2003 Server is getting an error when it tries to connect to a database table on behalf of Team Foundation Server.  But I have:

1) stopped the ShorePoint web service
2) removed TFS


and it has not stopped.  How can I get this thing to stop?

Answer : How do I stop SharePoint?

you need to stop following services

1. SharePoint admin service
2. SharePoint timer service
3. SharePoint search service
4. and one or two more.. which contains SharePoint word in it's name

also stop all web sties/Pools with are created by SharePoint. mainly Administration site and other web apps.
