Question : Keyboard on laptop

Hi,

A laptop in the office is acting strange.  After boot up, kepboard wont work, but if I uninstall the driver and stay (no rebooting), the keyboard works right away.  Any ideas?  thx

Answer : Keyboard on laptop

I assume this problem re-occurs everytime you restart you laptop, right? Does it ever occur while the laptop is still running? Does it occur if you just login and logout?

Can you go into Device Manager, under Keyboards and right-click the keyboard driver (I don't know what this might be called on your laptop. It could be "HID Keyboard Device" or something else.) Choose properties. Then click on the "Driver" tab.
Can you see who is the Driver provider?

Do this both BEFORE and AFTER you uninstall the driver, to see what the difference is. Does that make sense?
