Question : Removing IDVault on 8.5 Domino server

I recently attempted to add ID Vault to my newly upgraded server.  I feel that I followed the procedure correctly, but now when I try to add new users I get the message that "Failed:ID upload to the Notes ID Vault failed"  I am wondering if it is possible to remove the ID Vault to get my system back to its original state.
