Question : How do you check if your hard drive (or SSD) are correctly aligned?

Here and there I have read rather technical articles about the importance of having correct "alignment" on your disks. Not having this would result in decreased performance, as I take it, and this seems to be especially serious when it comes to SSD drives(?).

Is there any way to check if your drive is properly aligned? (without having to be a computer wizard to decipher the information given by the tool).

If NOT correctly aligned, is there any tool that can fix this, or do I have to re-install my whole computer? (I have recently change a traditional HDD to an SSD)...

My computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium - 64 bit
