It shouldn't take long at all. I think the HD light blink a certain way when it's rebuilding, and when it's done it goes back to normal activity blinking. If you have the Dell OpenManage software installed you can look at the drives and it should tell you if it is rebuilding or not. Also, if you can reboot and go into the PERC config it should tell you if it is rebuilding there too.
