I would say that if you are willing to go up to the 10K range, Falcon Northwest would be a great place to check. The system I listed above is very high in price, but I chose the top end components to work from. If you call them, they will be able to give you some very good guidance as far as configuring the computer to give you the best performance to dollar ratio. They may come back and say that for what you are doing, the Extreme Edition processor is overkill, or that you would not see a viable performance boost by going from 4 to 8 SSD drives in a Raid 0, etc...
