Question : video driver - cannot find correct one - aspect 8640 laptop

hi, ive a generic laptop. the case is an aspect 8640, thats all i know.
i reinstalled fresh windows xp pro, and most of the drivers ive located. but the video driver will not install.
the diags [and siSandra] just show its as video controller [vga compatible]
device manager shows it as not using any resources.

is there a way to determine the exact make/model of the video controller thats in this unit.
its a pentium 4/1.8 w768ram.

i tried the siSandra to see if it could tell the make, and it showed up as .//driver1 or something.
any ideas are appreciated

what does it show for motherboard make or model, or does it list chipset? like motherboard chipset, or northbridge or southbridge?

What does SIW list for Motherboard, and Video?

I've never heard of an Aspect brand laptop....sorry. If I were to guess you probably have an Intel based video...845 chipset maybe? If so, this Intel site would do the trick:
