Question : How can I recover my gmail password from my PC ?

I have my gmail account used for quite sometime. It automatically login using saved password.
But then when I try to open from other pc, I can't do it bcause I changed the password and I don't remember it. I tried to get thru gmail help, but they also need my hint question which also I don't remembered.

So I search google for other solution which I found similar problem and the solution was mentioned to download special program, install it to my PC and it will extract my saved password. But then I scared to do it because I don't know whether the software can recover or worst case, it may wipe out my saved password.

I need something that already been tested, easy and safe to use.
