Question : Cisco 1310g Wireless Bridge, Fastethernet Hardware Status Down
Well... after a storm the other day, one of my workgroup bridges went down. I can connect to it wirelessly. But, the fastethernet port's Hardware status is Down. Software status is Up. I've checked all cabling and switches on that fastethernet port. Any way I can force the issue on enabling the port? maybe through the console. This is the bridge on the remote building. I'm just hoping the port isn't fried. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Answer : Cisco 1310g Wireless Bridge, Fastethernet Hardware Status Down
Connect to console and do:
enable
config t
int fa0/0 (or whatever the interface name is)
shutdown
no shutdown
end
If your interface doesnt go down and then up, check cabling. After that your ethernet-interface is probably fried. Sorry.
