Question : Give user rights to add computer to a domain

We are going to be getting a lot of computers delivered that will need to be hooked up. An outside company is going to help out with the install, but I don't want them to have too much power, and at the same time, not enough power. They will be applying images to the computers using a  sysprep'd image. If there is an issue and the computer does not attach and they would have to do it manually, how can I give them access to do that without them getting full admin privileges?

Answer : Give user rights to add computer to a domain

Several ways, you can give them the "add workstations to domain" right using a group policy

You can also use the delegation control wizard

John covers both methods here:

I've seen both methods used...where I am right now we use method 1

Thanks

Mike
