Question : How do I get my emails off an Outlook.ost file to a outlook.pst file?

Today I had a established email account that was taking up about a gig of space on my server to auto archive.  Everything seemed to be going smooth then I could not find the archive folders in outlook.  There does not seem to be a .pst file, and what it created was an outlook.ost file for off line work.  I cant see those either as far as I can tell.
Is there a way to convert or move the mails in the ost to a pst that would show in archived mail folders?  The auto archive seems to be set to go to a pst i'm not sure why it did not make one.
This is a xp pro machine with office 2003, using a exchange 2003 server running on windows 2003.

Running the Outlook Archive feature (auto or otherwise) should never create another OST, it will only create PST files. The OST file is created the first time you use Outlook and is just as you said, an exact copy of what's on the server (it's actually the offline version of the mailbox). So, either the PST file was inadvertantly saved somewhere other than the default location when it was created, or like you said it just glitched and never created one at all. I would be more likely to think it was the former, however.
