Question : Anyone know exactly triggers the "this program may have installed incorrectly" dialog?
Installing the same software on several Windows 7 installations tonight (third party software, not MS but it is Windows 7 compatible). Some of the machines display the "this program may not have installed correctly" dialog even though the program appears to "install fine." On others, it seems to install fine without the message. Just curious, anyone know what Windows looks for to trigger this?
Edit: We know it comes from the Program Compatibility Assistance Service, just curious what it looks for to trigger it.
