Question : Windows Server 2008 R2 - Easy Print remote desktop

I have setup a new Windows 2008 R2 remote desktop server.
I have a few users with local printers. The printers are HP USB models.
I have a test station setup with one of the printers. Server 2008 is using easy print driver to communicate with the local printer.
I have verified the following(as per easy print instructions from MSFT):
I am using Client version 6.0.6001 of mstsc
I have .net framework 3.0 SP2 & 3.5 SP1 installed on the client
I have .net framework 3.5.1 installed on the server
I have printer redirection checked as enabled in the client, it is not disabled on the server.

Printer redirection to the server seems to be working as the printers show up in Devices & Printers on the server. I can also access the print preferences(settings) from the local printer when logged into the server. However, when I try to print a test page from the server I get a message that says Test page failed to print. The event logs contain nothing of value regarding this. The only message I get is in the print service operational log (server) that says spooling job xx - where xx is a number. There is no error message. There are no events logged on the client machine.
The print job appears in the server print queue but never hits the local queue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Answer : Windows Server 2008 R2 - Easy Print remote desktop

I have done some additional research on the HP/Microsoft site. The printer is not certified for use with Windows 2008 R2. This usually means that it may work or may not(I was successful with the LasertJet 3050, the Laserjet M1319f MFP would not work).
I have come to the conclusion that the printer is not supported with Easy Print. I could not get the HP universal driver to work with the printer either.
This question can be closed. I will move the affected users over to my Windows 2003 TS server.
